Profile Information

I first got into writing, because I had a hard time finding written stories that provided me with what I wanted out of a story, and I realized that I could just as easily create my own stories, free from product placement, propaganda, and poor character depth.  Plus, I could make them exciting.  In this, the masterpieces of the 19th century were my guide, and still are, in a few ways.

Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, H.G. Wells and other great authors of previous eras of history were my role models as I set out to start creating characters and telling stories about them.  I wanted to do my best to be completely original, and invent characters of my own, while also writing with the intelligence, vividness and tastefulness of the great authors who I admired.

My subjects of choice are the things which I personally find interesting; science fiction, religion, fantasy, horror, mystery and action/adventure.  I also do my best to make characters complex enough to be interesting, even without their unusual elements.  Why shouldn't a reader be allowed to ask for everything in a story?

Lastly, I am myself quite religious, and although it doesn't restrict the number of ideas that I allow myself to write about, it does mean that I have a sincere dislike of modernist propaganda in all its forms; however slight.  This is one of the reasons why modern literary works so rarely impress me.  Great though their characters and stories might be, modern literature adopts an overly-permissive attitude most of the time in my opinion; especially when dealing with the difference between good and evil.

Like everyone, though, I'm looking for happiness, at the base of it all.  I just don't trust mere mortals to give it to me.
