Profile Information

My name is Ethan.  I enjoy writing interesting stories for other people to read.  I like hearing what people think about my work.  I just write for the fun of it.  Maybe one day I'll try to write an actual novel, but who knows?  I definitely don't.

Other than writing, my life can get pretty packed.  I go to college full-time for multimedia design.  I'm hoping to use that to my advantage to hopefully do some graphic design work (preferably in the music industry).  I have also gone to school for video production.  I'm using that to make some indie films with a few other people I know who are also interested in cinema.  Some projects we have planned...  My friend Danny and I are currently in production of a YouTube serial called The Flying Nun Variety Hour.  At the time that I'm writing this, we're still in production of the first episode.  We're also working on a zombie film that we're scheduled to start shooting in December 2008.  We're very excited about that.  Danny and I (the visionaries of this epic masterpiece) are avid fans of zombie movies, so actually coming up with a storyline, thinking of new things to try, filming, and editing this movie is an awesome thing for us.  After the zombies, we're making a buddy flick in the spring that will play off of our YouTube show.  Then at some point in the future I'm teaming up with my good friend Jess to make a vampire movie.  Let me stress this here:  REAL vampires.  Not glittery, girly Edward Cullen vampires.  Not that I have anything against the Twilight series or its fans (Jess is a Twilight fan), but I want to make a vampire movie that concentrates on the psychological aspect of vampires.  I also want to make it as dark and serious as possible.  If you want an idea of what I'm going for, watch Nosferatu and Bram Stoker's Dracula.  They're both based on the same book (which I'm currently reading), but they are very different takes.  The dark feel of those movies is what I'm going for, but in my own way.  My brother is also a chef, and he and some other chefs are planning on making a cooking show called Hardcore Kitchen.  I'll be helping to film that.  It will feature delicious food, hilarious shenanigans, and lots of hardcore and metal.  It won't be everyone's thing, but it should be interesting.  Which brings me to my band.  I am the lead vocalist in a band called Save The Bride.  We are just getting started, and we're scheduled to start playing shows in December.  You can check out our MySpace page if you like.  (  We are a Christian band, but don't let that put you off if you're not Christian.  We're for everybody.  We're very eclectic, going from poppy, feel-good tunes to brutal, driving metalcore, all the while having fun and bringing a message.  Once again, don't let that pull you off.  The message isn't always necessarily Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.  We talk about important life topics such as depression and suicide, hope, faith, and living your life to the absolute fullest.  We also have a few songs that are just for fun, which is what music is all about.

At this point, I think I've gone on long enough.  If you think you'd be interested, please check out my band and my film group's YouTube channel, ProductionsofEGAD.  (We wanted EGAD Productions, but some teenage girls had already taken it.)  That's all I've got for you.  I hope you enjoy what you read.
