I know it's been a year...

...during which I haven't written anything. And barely visited Booksie. Yup, I suppose one could call it a crisis. And I'm sorry for being sort of incommunicado. A couple of weeks ago I started writing a novel. I'm not really liking it so far. At times I think that I just don't have what it takes to write a novel, and I also feel that I've somehow depleted myself with the short stories, that I have nothing to say in that format anymore. So, if anyone is reading this - I do hope that you'll be interested in my novel, should I ever finish it. And yes, it has talking bunnies and dogs and aliens and time travel and everything else. Wish me luck. Over and out.

Profile Information

Welcome to Booksie!

Please feel free to send me review requests - I will read and review your work! But please be nice and comment on something of mine as well. We all need support and encouragement, so let's try and help each other.

About myself:

I'm a Soviet-born musician from Israel, currently living in Shanghai, ethnically Jewish but religiously Christian. My interests include religions, philosophy, history, languages, and others. Among my favorite authors are Dostoevsky, G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, O. Henry, Ray Bradbury, and Stanislaw Lem.

About my stories:

I write short stories in what one may call the "speculative fiction" genre: projecting our reality and my thoughts about it into a (hopefully) imaginary dystopian future. All my stories are set in the same futuristic universe and have recurrent themes, locations, and characters, though not necessarily the same tone or even the same style of writing.

The Inner Chronology of my stories:

1980 - In a Grove (Soviet Union)

2017 - Existence (Berlin)
