I was "born again" (John 3), and thus became a follower of Jesus Christ at the age of 16. Now I am 57 and still try to follow Him, my "Shepherd", wherever He leads, but have to confess that from time to time I still "go astray". I am so thankful that He remains faithful and forgives me when I confess my sins (I John 1:8) and submit to His leading again. He has gifted me with natural talents, poetic and musical, which I use for His glory and to the benefit of my "neighbor". He has also blessed me with the spiritual gifts of Evangelist and Pastor/Teacher. My first Pastorate was a Church I founded in 1972, called "Church At The Barn". It was a Church for Teenagers. We were called "Jesus Freaks" back then! Many years later, in 1982, I was ordained to the ministry by a non-denominational Church in Tulsa, OK.
Over the years I have composed numerous poems and songs which reflect my various experiences through life's "ups and downs". I am an accomplished Percussionist, Pianist and Singer with a Degree in Music Education. I am blessed to be married to an incredible, intelligent, beautiful and patient lady for 25 years this April! Our 4 awesome daughters, age 18, 19, 22 and 23 have a strong and growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, so they are becoming increasingly beautiful both inside and out!!
Since March 11, 2011, I have been the Assistant Director of a 15-year-old Christian Ministry which helps the poor in many ways, expressing Christ's Love not only in words, but through many actions. Actions such as, assisting Churches to: 1. Pick up and deliver gently-used Furniture and Appliances to those in need. (We have the only Furniture Bank in OK!) 2. Host our 2 fully-equipped and staffed medical vans, to provide quality spiritual, psychological and physical healthcare to the homeless and others. 3. Host "Car Care Clinics", where qualified mechanics donate their time and labor to make repairs, especially for single Moms and the elderly. There are many other ways we help Churches to minister to the practical needs in their Communities as well. Check us out on the Web at: www.tulsacan.org.
