Profile Information

******Midnight Dancer and The Masked Man are my current novels, the only things that I'm really working on. You're free to look at the other stuff, but unless I'm suddenly struck with monumental inspiration, they're not going anywhere. Sorry! If you don't want to get disappointed then just read Midnight Dancer or The Masked Man.********

I guess you would say I'm odd. There's no other word to describe me. Maybe a little excentric, crazy, creative, but odd just bundles it up nicely. I have a saying, "Normal is only a setting on the dryer." It's true because there is no real 'normal'. What might be normal for you, is completely idiotic to another person. Therefore, no such thing as normal. It's crazy thoughts like these that start the gears in my mind going, get the creative juices flowing, however you'd like to word it. I spend way too much time on my nails, wishing they were more nicely shaped, wishing my knuckles weren't so knobby. I used to wish I was shorter, but then I decided I like towering over most people. I have a life list that's about three pages long in ten point font and I've only completed about ten on the things on it. I dream about places that I've never been to and wonder what the people are like there. I wonder what it would be like to live there and experience the culture for a lifetime. When I look in the mirror I see me. Nothing else just me. I know who I am and I know I'm not perfect. I may wish that my hair did what I wanted it to, that my hands were different, that my toes weren't so ugly. That I didn't have the scars on my stomach. But I realize that all of those things make up me. I may be a six foot tall nerd who's legally blind and can't see without contacts or glasses. A clumsy accident prone geek who can hurt herself eating breakfast with a spoon (I tell you it's possible!). A silly woman with a laugh like a donkey baying. And you know what? I'm me. And I like myself a lot. I don't believe in hair dye, although I do love extentions. I don't wear make up for I believe that it hides the true beauty of a person. I believe in laughing at yourself when you fall down, and smiling at those in need. If nothing else, a smile is a fabulous thing to offer. =) Nothing beats chocolate ice cream on a freezing cold day with two feet of snow outside and icicles hanging fromt the roof. Sliding down a hill on a block of ice in hundred degree weather is my idea of a perfect date. Just plain chocolate fudge is the best, don't feed me the crap with nuts in it. My room is red, orange, green, yellow, blue, pink, and white. I wish I was more organized, yet don't do anything about it. I'm constantly procrastinating and spend my time making lists that I never complete. I have fifty-three pairs of shoes forty-one of which are stiletto heels. They are on the floor in my room and scattered around the rest of my living space far away from it's mate. I believe in true love, though I don't know if it's out there for me. I'm a hopeless romantic that cries at Eharmony commercials. I speak several languages, one of them Chinese. I like to pretend it's the only think I know.

I'm me. And I'm proud of it.

Quote of the Day:
It takes no time to fall in love, but it takes years to know what love is.

POEM OF THE WEEK: (FOR THE PEOPLE YOU REALLY HATE!)

I WISH THEM CRAMPS.

I WISH THEM IN A STRANGE TOWN,

AND THE LAST TAMPON.

I WISH THEM NO 7-11.

I WISH THEM ONE WEEK EARLY,

AND WEARING A WHITE SKIRT.

I WISH THEM ONE WEEK LATE.

LATER I WISH THEM HOT FLASHES,

AND CLOTS LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE.

LET THE HOT FLASHES COME,

WHEN THEY MEET SOMEONE SPECIAL.

LET THE CLOTS COME,

WHEN THEY WANT TO.

LET THEM THINK THEY HAVE ACCEPTED,

ARROGANCE IN THE UNIVERSE,

THEN BRING THEM TO THE GYNECOLOGISTS,

NOT UNLIKE THEMSELVES.

~LUCILLE CLIFTON~

我愛你
