When I started to think about retiring, I got a lot of advice. I've had a few false dawns, but everyone said you have to keep active.
 
We cleared out my father's house, when he passed over, and in amongst his things we found a handwritten story that had never seen the light of day. It was his first recollection of school and growing-up.
 
At around the same time, people were saying to me that I should write.
I started writing for Internet sites, but with no conviction. Now I write about issues that concern me, or just interest me.
 
Harold Harper is a mundane guy, trapped in a mundane life. He just wants to be someone.
