About

"A society grows when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in"...

UK Male // Law Student // Teenager

I began writing after winning a national poetry competition at the age of 16 at college. My thorough interest in classic literature combined with an intrigued desire to understand criminal law has led me to be inspired by a world of masterpieces;

Ranging from novelists such as Rudyard Kipling, diplomats such as Niccolo Machiavelli, jurists such as Jeremy Bentham and theorists such as Plato - the ideals behind the worlds greatest works lead me to embody a historical/distinct twist on many of my pieces.

Awareness is one of the key aims of my work. To me the best gift you can give to anybody is that of sight, and sight of the things they are most blinded by is what I wish to uncover. Some of my pieces may seem controversial, one-sided, traditional or absurd, yet the rationale of relieving somebody's ignorance through poetry and leaving a sort of legacy in writing, is far greater than the scope of any criticism.

To get in touch with me simply drop me an email at omar_97@hotmail.co.uk, I hope you enjoy my work and feel free to like/comment with any feedback, all is welcome.

Peace with Poetiquette, OT.
