Profile Information

I honestly wrote a long-ish "about me" bit here, with some details about my relationship with writing but then something happened and so the browser changed, then hanged and then I had to close it and open. Even if I restored it the words are all gone. I know I' a writer, but usually this part gets me really lazy. I have half a mind to copy paste an old bio I did for a different writing site.

I'll just cut to the chase. Despite how lazy I am with bios and about mes, I like writing. I know, it doesn't even make sense to me right now but bear with me. I've loved the concept of writing, books and literature probably even before I found out it was a thing. I've been making stories even before I found out making things up was an actual job. I love stories and writing. I have particular generes I like, but I notice I usually have moods when reading. Like, sometimes I'm in the mood to read contemporary and other times I go for fantasy.

In the first bio I wrote, prior to it getting lost, I mentioned a very brief history of my writing. From little stories I made in scrapbooks with badly named characters (some of them animals) and very linear and often nonsensical story lines when I was in grade school, to the cheesy love short stories I made in Highschool. I had an emo period too since I had a crush on a guy who was emo. I saw some of the old stuff I wrote and I cringe at the dialogue. I did fanfiction before too. If you're a Batman Dick/Babs shipper and you happen to have seen my work in or Wattpad, I wrote "The Call" under Cassieanimorph. I don't think I'll really go back to updating fanfiction because I'd rather focus on my own ficitonal world. (Albeit I still draw fan art. I'm an artist too! Check me out on Tumblr and Deviantart! name for deviantart.)

It's completely different when you're writing about your own characters. You're entitled to a responsibility with their development and the world that they live in. It's really fun and sometimes stressful. I'm currently trying to make a novel series about a super hero world (yes, into that kind of thing) with the Philippines as the setting. I'm very protective over this story so I won't be publishing it online anywhere until I've sorted it out, or if I ever do get it published for real (#writergoals).

Here, I'll just be posting short stories, poems, and maybe that contemporary love story novel I'm getting around to finishing. I admit to some grammar lapses and typos in advance because I'm either very lenient or just plain careless. My pen name is "Prolific" violet because my creative teacher once called me prolific in a time when I was and I didn't really care how cheesy my work comes off. Now, I'm a bit busy and I take the writing more seriously but once I get into it, I get pretty detailed with description and I do make my good word count.

Lastly, I really believe in God. I believe that he wrote every story prior to our knowing it, and placed it in our hearts and minds so that we could use them, inspire ourselves and others with them and WRITE and TELL them. I think it's only right that I disclaim what I do and give credit to the Great Author up there and so I always end my pieces with a "TO GOD BE THE GLORY :D".
