Robert (Bob) Morritt was born near Carlisle,Cumbria.His early years were spent in Penarth, Wales. Early career with The Daily Mirror. The Toronto Star and Star Weekly Magazine.He is a historian and author of:several books relating to Epigraphy,Archaeology and Classical history. His 'Stones That Speak' has been cited by Media and prominent scholars in the Republic of Georgia as being important in his specialization in early Colchian history and focus on Colchian origins of the enegmatic 'Phaistos Disc'.
His other books are devoted to his hobby ,'Recorded sound' and evident from his most recent books such as, 'America's Music','Rockin' in Britain','Rockin' in the Free World','Down Home Rag',"All That Jazz' ,'Levee Days and Delta Nights' ,'Rockin' in the Desert' (Elected into the Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame) and his latest book ' Guitar Men.(amazon)He took 'Prehistory and Early Agriculture' at the University of Manchester.
