About

HOW DID I GET HERE?

HALOO!

You're very much welcome to me own writey, scribbly  dibbly writers page on Booksie. Now, I ain't much of a 'writer' far-say, but I do what I am able. I do not write many stories - only some. I mainly write what I like to call 'Shorty po's;' being very short, four lines pieces of poetry; some in a variation of genres: horror, terror, comedy, romance, humour and bereavement.

Like I said above, I am not a huge writer in writing long stories, and haven't really written a great deal of short fiction - but hopefully will in the near future. I have now started writing for theatre; currently working on my first stage play.

Right then, let's make a start then, shall we?

“Fear isn't so difficult to understand. After all, weren't we all frightened as children? Nothing has changed since Little Red Riding Hood faced the big bad wolf. What frightens us today is exactly the same sort of thing that frightened us yesterday. It's just a different wolf. This fright complex is rooted in every individual.”

― Alfred Hitchcock

Mystyle:WELL I NEVER THOUGHT I REALLY HAD A STYLE, UNTIL I STARTED HAPPEN. AND ONE DAY ALL THIS, I SUPPOSE YOU'D CALL IT 'HORROR' CAME OUT OF ME. I MUCH PREFER THE WORD OF 'TERROR,' SIMPLY BECAUSE IT IS THE BETTER WORD - AND - MUCH - MORE - EFFECTIVE. SO YES! I DO USE TERROR IN MY WORK; BUT NOT JUST THAT. I TEND TO ALWAYS USE A SMIDGE OF HUMOUR INTO EACH PEICE OF WRITING - SINCE THEY WORK SO BRILLIANTLY TOGETHER!

  • Now normally most folk on this here webpage write info, saying: "You must check my work until I check yours." A sentence I've seen on various pages. Let me make it simple. If you see my page, like it, read my work, like it - great. I couldn't care otherwise. I only post writings on here because I like my work. If you don't like it, move on. If you do like a particular poem of mine, or even wish me to look at your work, I would be glad to, if I have a spare moment of course. With me being English and all that; I'll probally be drinking tea.  -  So, please, fire away!

P.S. before you head off down the corridor...

  •  Any smelling mistakes you feel you need to tell me about - please do! I do have a problem with spelling, as I have something called, 'specific learning problems;' and it effects my spelling, meaning and organisation. Nobody's perfect.

Final passing note: please feel free to ask questions and I will be sure to answer them in the comment section. Thank you :-)

Those who have helped build my house: Stephen King, Bram Stoker, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Vincent Price, Richard Matherson, Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff.

Enjoy... if you can.
