Profile Information

A former consumer magazine editor, medical copy editor, and proofreader for a number of New York advertising agencies, including J. Walter Thompson (JWT) and Bates USA, Ron Micci is the author of numerous plays, novels, screenplays, and sitcom scripts. His plays have been presented at First Stage in LA and in New York at the Kraine Theatre, Theatre-Studio, Producers Club, Riant Theater, as well as in conjunction with the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival and the Turnip Theatre Company's 15-Minute Play Festival. They have also been staged in New Jersey at the Darress Theater, the 1860 House (Montgomery Cultural Center), Lawrenceville Library, as well as in the main branch of the Canton, Ohio public library. Sappho’s Kiss was performed at the Time Square Art Center in February 2017. Acting editions of his one-act plays, Addie & Me and Night and the Proofreader, are available from Brooklyn Publishers (www.brookpub.com) and Heuer Publishing. (Addie was a silver medal winner in the 2004 Wisconsin state high school forensics finals.) Three satirical novels (Coyote Horny, Apocalypse on Broadway, The Bayou Katt Murders) and a number of plays and screenplays (Collected Screenplays) are available on Amazon.com in Kindle as well as in paperback format. Ebook versions are also available via Google Play Books, Apple iBooks, Nook, and a number of ebook websites. A jazz and classical flutist, he doesn’t wear suspenders, has never sung backup for the Shirelles, and professes an aversion to things that go bump in the night. Well, some things.
