Profile Information

My name is Roy Tindle.

I grew up in the midwest in a small town called Osceola, near South Bend and the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.  I've lived here most of my life with the exception of some time spent on the gulf coast of Florida, after which I returned home to be closer to friends and family.  My home in Florida was beautiful, and the weather was wonderful.  The colors were intense, there was never any snow and the briny smell of the sea was appealing to me.  But that wasn't home and, as beautiful as it was, it became lonely.

So here I am again, living nearby that small town I grew up in where everybody knew everyone and where I can once again walk across the road without looking and not fear four lanes of speeding traffic.

I've been writing regularly for a very long time, most recently attempting to finish up my first full novel called, "Motive".  Motive is a psychological thriller.  The book is a fiction of course but incorporates many real-world sciences and psychology to enhance the story's realism for my readers.  I hope to see it's completion and publication soon.

It's ironic that I've chosen to attempt to write as a career.  Without embarrassing myself too much, I'll just say that academic record will not allow me to boast any accolades for my performance in literature, language or grammar.  However, as I neared the end of my high school years, I was blessed with a particularly frightening, odd, eccentric, and wonderful literature teacher who somehow found a way to inspire me to take a serious look at the literary world and to develop a lifelong appreciation for the craft.  Apparently, he'd seen something in me I had failed to see myself, and through his insistence, I began writing myself.  And now I'll never stop.  Thank you, Teach.

I hope that someday I'll find one (or many) of my books on library shelves or in bookstores and, should that ever happen, I hope my literature teacher stumbles across it and is reminded that his efforts and the time he took to help a student, changed that student's life forever.
