Profile Information

I was born on a Sunday in Staten Island but raised in New Jersey.  I always wondered about that coincidence - my father was born and raised in Staten Island, and my mother in Jersey. The best of both worlds, I suppose.  I have two brothers, both older than I, whom I love - and tease - unconditionally.  We've had our share of problems, but our struggles made us closer as a family. I'm sure such is the same for all families in the world.

I never socialized much with classmates through my school years. This might not make sense, but I could never figure out how. The conversations I had would always hit a lull, a point where I felt like they were expecting me to say something, but I could never figure out what and would end up giving the wrong response. Bullies were not difficult to run into. For years, I came to distance myself from society under the belief that this was how the world works and nothing could be changed. But then, I realized: this is my world. I decide how it works. I have not had a serious social obstacle for the past five years.

As a teenager, I discovered my three major passions: music, writing, and science. I want to choose one of the three for a career path, but I have to be more specific. What kind of music, or genre of writing, or branch of science. For now, I plan to be a computer science major in college, but that is highly subject to change.

Overall, I've had my share of challenges, and I meet a new one every day. But each time something comes up, I think about it and figure out what I could have done differently so that I never make the same mistakes twice. With this website, I hope to convey all that I have learned thus far.
