"Sometimes I believe in as many as
six impossible things before
My name is Mo.
No, it is not my real name. It is a penname.
The story behind it is hardly interesting.
I'm just a thousand characters trying to live in disguise as one writer trying to make my way in the world.
I've never been published, although that would be a wonderful thing
Hell, the best things that have ever happened to my writing were
-in fifth grade when I got to read an essay to the entire school
-good grades on essays, book reports, standardized tests, etc. in grade school
My works tend to focus more on Paranormal/Supernatural (vampires, werewolves, demons, etc.)
Although recently I have been veering more towards Fantasy elements
I also throw in some mythology from different religions and cultures
I love to use Wikipedia for research
I know that Wikipedia isn't the most reliable thing to use for information
However, I don't know 100% solid facts, because I write fiction and I'm going to put my own spin on it anyway.
About my works:
Lifeblood: This is the first novel that I have ever completed. I finished it in February 2014, and I am so glad for all of the support that my friends and family have given me. It has many supernatural elements to it (demons, vampires, angels, Lucifer, etc.). Lifeblood is also book 1 in a series of 5 books (I haven't named the series).
Honeymoon: This is the first book of a series of four called Culture Shock. It follows the story of a young Elf trying to make it in modern human society while trying to track down the Elf who betrayed and slaughtered her entire clan. This pulls elements from the paranormal and fantasy, as well as bits and pieces of different religions and cultures.
Hades and Persephone: This is a modern day drama about an older "bad boy" who lures a young woman into falling in love with him and it slowly escalates into an abusive/controlling relationship. While there are no witches or ghouls or magic, it is based on the myth of Hades and Persephone, and there are small nods to the stories behind it (ex: Kenneth (Hades) has three dogs (Cerberus)).
Frost Rider: I am especially proud of this new fairy tale story that I have been writing. It is a retelling and combination of the stories of Red Riding Hood and Jack Frost. I have tried to capture that magical fantasy atmosphere, and I hope readers love this story as much as I love the world that I have created.
