Profile Information

Linda Simmons grew up in Plano, Texas, received a BA in Psychology from The University of Texas at Arlington, and worked on an MBA at TCU.  She has worked for American Airlines for twenty-five years and recently she and her husband, Tom, bought a 1920s home very near TCU in Fort Worth, which they have redone, maintaining the period in which it was built.  She began writing about ten years ago, mainly expanding and building on events from her own life.  Other interests include reading other writers’ short stories, studying other languages -- particularly Spanish, visiting Civil War battle fields, old fashioned porch sitting at night, and practicing yoga during which time story ideas often come to her.  Linda is also involved with the Innocence Project and PETA.  She is also is a member of the Fort Worth Tutoring Association, helping students with reading and writing. Linda has been published in Texas Christian University’s Descant Literary Journal 2012, has a short story on Amazon – Rabbit’s Foot.


Also, have written an article for House of Tuscany for  360 West Magazine and ads for both 360 West and Indulge, both Fort Worth publications, but these have NOT been published yet.
