OK, pretentious sounding stuff first, trivial stuff will come later ^_^

I'm 19. I like to write. I've never written for anybody but myself before. I don't intend to start now.

I mostly stick to poetry, to me its more...portable in a way. I love the rush of writing something after hearing, seeing, feeling something that inspires me and being able to create a literary snapshot of that feeling. If that makes sense?

I don't participate in endless editing and re-editing, I loathe the thought of somehow editing something to the point where it is completely unrecognisable from the feeling you started with. Don't get me wrong, I'll sometimes update my pieces, but only if it felt incomplete to begin with; like I said, to me, a poem is a literary snapshot of an emotion, if I feel that particular emotion evolve in some way, I'll usually add to the original piece and possibly make another to go with it to give the new emotion a new snapshot.

Things I've posted on here in the past, and probably a lot of what I post in the future is going to be crude and child-like, but I guess in a way that is representative of my personality. If I feel particularly strongly about a piece I'll post it in featured work.

I welcome criticism; T.S.Eliot said that criticism is as inevitable as breathing, and that we should be none the worse for articulating what passes in our minds when we read a book and feel an emotion about it. If any of my writing evokes any emotion at all, even negative emotion, feel free to share it with me. I'm choosing to remain anonymous. Anonymity, however, is subjective; you may not know my name but my writing may reveal more than a name ever could.
