Profile Information

Welcome to Sturbin's page, where we will journey together through this strange world of writing.  I started writing when I was ten or eleven years old, shortly after my father introduced me to Tolkien (whom I re-read every other year or so).

Twenty years ago, I started my first novel, a space opera called 'Alliance.'  After trying to collaborate on it with my brother (another frustrated author) for six months, I set it aside and did not pick it up again for another ten years.  I did, however, finally finish it, and more followed.  'Boogeymen,' 'Thunder of the Drum,' 'No Time to Waste,' 'Mare Diabolus,' and 'Cloaks and Barbs' came forth over the next six years.  'Boogeymen' and 'Cloaks and Barbs' I self-published through iUniverse and CreateSpace, respectively.  Last month, at my Better Half's behest, I took up screenwriting and adapted 'Thunder of the Drum' for the screen.  Several projects got started and shelved:  'America Lost,' 'Snowman and the Weasel,' 'Alliance II,' and 'Quiver of the Hun.'  Perhaps they will get resurrected someday...

I will post chapters of my manuscripts for you all to peruse.  Perhaps somebody out there can give me some pointers on how to finally get The Big Break, so I can buy that RV and get Lost in America...
