My name is Tedrick Hernandez.
I was born last April 20, 2000. Yeah, you might think I'm too young to write novels on this site, but I really want everyone to read my novels.
So far, I've read four different novel series: Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus and Kane Chronicles. They were all great novels, so I would like to thank J.K Rowling and Rick Riordan for penning those novels.
Weirdly, the first novel I've ever read was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban. At first, I couldn't understand the deep english, since I was so young back then. But after reading the entire Harry Potter series, I began to understand the deep contrasting story. I love how J.K Rowling added plot holes that will surely surprise you as they began to unfold in the later parts of the series. It was a really nice gesture.
After reading the entire Harry Potter series, I began to search for more. A lot of my friends were suggesting to read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Since I had no money to buy more books, I borrowed the entire series from my cousin.
Now, I kind of noticed that Rick Riordan's writing skills weren't so good in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. They were choppy, and I quickly thought of J.K Rowling's excellent writing style.
But as I progress on the later books of the series, I can see Rick Riordan's writing style improving. The paragraphs were getting longer, and everything was being explained briefly. I can almost see Rick Riordan improving over time. By the end of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Last Olympian, Rick Riordan was almost as good as J.K Rowling.
At first, I thought it was the end of the Percy Jackson era, but then I've heard about Heroes of Olympus. Since I still had no money, I borrowed the three current books in the series from the cousin again.
Now, Rick Riordan is really getting better and better. The paragraphs were long and well displayed. Everything was being described in an amazing manner. I also loved the narration gimmick, where different characters are being narrated as you progress through the chapters.
I don't think I have to explain this even more, but Rick Riordan is really good. Since J.K Rowling had no new books, I searched for more Rick Riordan books. There came the Kane Chronicles, so I grabbed my wallet and bought the entire trilogy. It was as satisfying as his other books. I wish he continue making more good books so I'll have something to read.
After reading these books, I've suddenly got the interest of writing my own novels. Even though Booksie was the first site I've ever logged on, I was disgraced by the glitchy Text Editor. Yeah, sure, the Text Editor had many features, but whenever I try to press Back Space, the Text Editor suddenly glitches and deletes another part of the story. Now that's crap, so I decided to move to Wattpad instead.
Even though the Text Editor in Wattpad lacked the countless features the Booksie Text Editor had, it didn't glitched on the Back Space button. It was easy to use, so I sticked with Wattpad for a while. I penned my very first novel, The Cloud Chaser: The Awakening. It had nineteen chapters, and it was the first book in the five-book series, The Cloud Chaser. I also penned a book that shows a couple of expanded and modified fairy-tales called Expanded Fairy-Tales. Everything seemed to be perfect, except...
My account suddenly went missing. I tried to log in, but it asked me to make another one. When I made another one, all of my novels went missing. What was that for? I was currently writing a prequel named The Cloud Chaser: The Order of Harold. All of those, gone. I hated Wattpad after that, so I went back to Booksie.
Now, I've realized that Booksie was a lot better than Wattpad. The Text Editor wasn't as annoying as before, and the interface was a lot better. Even though Wattpad is more widely known than Booksie, I'm sticking with Booksie now.
I'm now currently penning The Quest Behind the Waterfall. It's going to have fifty or more chapters, so stay tuned. After that, I'm going to recreate The Cloud Chaser series, so yeah, stay tuned!
