Profile Information

Hi, my name is Terry and I have enjoyed writing creatively since high school.  I like to write science fiction and horror becasue those are my favorite genres to read, but I tend to pretty much write whatever I feel like and this has lead to difficulties retaining focus.  I'm trying to get a more concrete handle on my work and stop writing the more underground stuff like detailed lists and timelines of the growth of lint balls under my couch or statistical analyses of what physical traits in a squirrel are correlated with willingness to become domesticated, but in the meantime please try to encourage me to write poems and short stories by clicking "I like it" on whatever you... you know, like.  I'm running out of squirrel treats and no-one seems to want to read my work, anyway.

the books I'm currently reading are

In The Woods - by Tana French

In the woods is only half over and already I am regretting the descision to pick it up and let it reach out its tentacles to grab me.  The cover is an artwork of tree roots that actually looks like ti's reaching out to get you, just in case you didnt feel quite enough like your skin had crawled away.  This book has severely creeped me out.  Tana French seems to be one of those writers that makes you feel like they packed about 500 pages into 50.  I feel like I've been reading about these characters forever, we're old buddies, and I get genuinely anxious at the pshychological mazes she makes them navigate.  On top of that I love buddy cop stories, and this is a great one.  I haven'e read a police/supernatural pairing this good since Nocturnal, by Scott Sigler. This book qwon an Edgar award for best first novel and it was well deserved.  French's other works (which I will soon undoubtably own) are ":The Likeness" and "Faithful Place"

Self-Made - By M. Darusha Wehm

I love authors who are willing to give their work away for free.  I love them because I have no money, and I love audiobooks.  Thats why i love podiobooks.com, which is where you will hear me reccomend a lot of books from ,and where M. Darusha-Wehm decided to give birth to Anderson Dexter, a cyberpunk detective who has been the main character in two novels now, "Self Made, and "Act of Will".  On poidiobooks you will find great, good, bad, and downright ugly works, and M. Darusha Wehm is that one free author you find out of about ten that blows you away unexpectedly.  Both books are great noir stories and I was seriously happy when I found out that it was a series.  Her characters and settings are awesome.  This is one of the ones to put on your list if you're going to check out podiobooks.

The videogames im currently playing are

Bayonetta: noramlly I'm not into beat em up games like this but bayonetta's action is so fluid its incredibly addictive.  Easy mode is genuinely a breeze, you can probably beat the game without ever dying and it still looks and feels awesome.  Ans so far hard mode hasn't let me past the prologue so there is plenty that it offers a more hardcore audience.  The game is ridiculously violent and sexual.  don't let your kids near it.  THat said, it is specacularly fun.  On the one downside, the story makes little to no sense.

Movies im really looking forward to:

bond 23

the new spider man

Captain America

Harry Potter 7 part 2
