Profile Information

Carol Kline is a wife, mother, daughter, aunt, cousin, friend and animal lover who lives in the midwest US. She occasionally has time for writing and appreciates feedback. Some short humorous plays have been published by Lazy Bee Scripts and perfomed in the US, Canada and the UK. Carol has participated in a new social media for writers and has two "starter chapters" (mysteries) waiting for others to move the story along. They reside at chainbooks.com. In December, 2011, Carol's play "A Safe Place", about domestic violence, was performed in St. Louis. Its debut was introduced by Meredith Baxter and it starred 14 local actors. Carol has contributed performance rights of "A Safe Place" to the organization, Comtrea, which will use it to fundraise for its women's shelter and to provide awareness and continuing education for first-responders and clinical staff members. Experimenting with her writing, she is working on more short plays with main characters who have no lines and - most recently - humorous stories with recipes imbedded in the content. Her debut novella, "Tessa's Forty Winks" will be via Amazon and Barnes & Noble's digital offerings. Check it out. It begs for a sequel.
