Bad News

To all my readers - I am sorry that my new content has been somewhat slow of late. I am going through a bad time at the moment. My dear mother had been diagnosed with Motor-Neuron Disease, and her health is worsening rapidly (almost on a weekly basis). Not only that but my dad is also in a bad way with his health failing in too many ways to mention. So I'm faced with the distinct possibility of losing both my parents before 2019 is over. Please bear with me, and thank you for your support - Tristan.

Profile Information

I was born in Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia). From a very young age, I was exposed to a multitude of books (To date, my father and step-mother own over 800 books between them). As soon as I was old enough, I began to read C.S. Lewis, and later Tolkien. At the age of 6, I wrote my first short story. Although I can't remember the details, I do recall that it won third prize in my age group. This was a surprise as I had been diagnosed with dislexia just before this. I have always had a soft-spot for fantasy, but unusual true stories also interest me. One in particular struck me when I was about 14 (I won't spoil it because this will probably be my first submission).

I have tried to publish on other sites, but - unless you are already an established writer - you have to stand in line, and on some of these sites, the line is LONG! In any case, that book took me 13 years to write! That's why I turned to writing short-stories. Publishing hard-copy nowadays is also a schlepp because of the costs involved, and with the digital media, paper seems a bit old fashioned.

As a warm-blooded male, and a Leo at that, I also like stories that are on the more steamy side. Hey - Variety is the spice of life, and the spicier the better I say.

I have also opened a new page on Subscribestar for my audio books. The link is:
