Profile Information

The urge to write came to me some 3 years after I learnt to walk.

I was born approximately 56 years ago.

I saw my name in print in The Evening News of India, a Bombay based evening paper in the early seventies - when someone wrote about me.

My first by-line was in Free Press Journal, another daily in Bombay [now Mumbai] in 1977.

Since then ... I have lost count.

My last major job in the employ of someone else was being the Tamil Nadu [the most known South Indian state] Bureau Chief of IANS, India's second biggest news agency.

A Google Search of me by myself produced this:

- some 772000 entries in less than a second.

Now I work for myself my penmanship keeps the wolves from my door.

I am a print quality journalist in English, Tamil and Hindi and a broadcaster in those 3 plus Urdu. Radio-yappings heard so far in the BBC, AIR, Deutsche Welle.

My outputs include several novelettes, short stories, poems ... in English, Hindi and Tamil, and a book [separately published in nglish and Tamil] produced in collaboration with other Chennai-based media hacks for the UNDP on the somewhat welcome aftermath of the Asian Tsunami besides a 4-volume set on The Mahabharat in Tamil.

Given  hereunder is the link of a short story.

A major movie company in India is actively discussing its making into an international feature film.
