Profile Information
I am a retired Health Information Management Professional. I live in Nova Scotia Canada with my husband, two daughters, one dog and one cat. This is my first attempt at writing.
I am a brain tumor "survivor" thus far and have written a short story about it. Written in about one half hour it was just a cathartic piece, emotional. I wrote it with tears running down my face. I still live in fear each day, though not many people know that.
I have always wanted to write for young people. I submitted "The Pink Ribbons" to our local newspaper last month. It received an honorable mention. I would very much like to have some comments from writers on what I might do to improve this piece. I personally am proud of this first attempt, but know I have a very long way to go before feeling comfortable calling myself a writer.I hope whoever reads this enjoys it.
I am starting a first novel (I hope). Nothing Nobel Prize worthy, I assure you. Just hopefully, an entertaining read for youngsters 10-adult. I myself love to read novels meant for youth. No big moral ending here. Will see how it works out.
