Profile Information

Enrique A. Cordero was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1952 and spent most of his adult life in Tampa, Florida, with his wife, Mary. He enjoys family time, shows about supernatural topics, and quirky British comedy. He’s a Tampa Bay Bucs fan who enjoys karaoke, graphic art, photography, playing the tumbadoras, and dancing with his wife. He and Mary enjoy walks in the rain--if it’s not lightning!

Cordero was born into a family active in spiritual, esoteric, and occult practices for generations. The systems and rituals of the Kabbalah, ceremonial magick, Wicca, Witchcraft, and spiritualism are among his lifelong studies, along with some Afro-Caribbean religions.

Enrique became a respiratory therapist in 1973, then earned a degree in anthropology from USF, Tampa. During his studies, he was mainly attracted to religion and medical anthropology. He was then drawn to other empirical sciences and social and behavioral studies. He continues to research and study religion and spirituality from a cross-cultural perspective.

In the mid-1990s, Cordero took a temporary sabbatical from the traditional health care system to pursue studies in energy work and alternative healing methods. He became a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master and a Karuna® Reiki Master. Among other studies were the effects of sound, pranic healing, auric healing, and chakra balancing and healing. He taught certification classes in Reiki, The Human Aura, and Sacred Emanations and Words of Power, and his teaching platform enabled him to practice spiritual counseling.

In 2001, Enrique underwent a nearing-death experience. Upon returning to his healthcare practice, he recognized the need for holistic care--treating the body, mind, and spirit. Thus, he melded the Western and Eastern patient care philosophies into his respiratory care practice until he retired in 2018.

The author won first prize in a Writing Contest for his book, It’s Hard to Die!: “Do I Hold On or Do I Let Go?”. He also authored Now That I Am Dead: What I Should Know at the End of Life and How Reiki Can Change Your Life: A Sourcebook for Students, Practitioners, and Reiki Teachers.

FOLLOW HIM! His future books will delve into paranormal topics: spiritual, esoteric, ceremonial magick, and occult subjects. His next release explains how languages, words, and sounds are used in ritual and ceremonial practices.
