Carl B. Johnson is a full-time artist, writer and publisher.
As an artist he documents the changing faces and places of the south Jersey Bay Shore region with introspective paintings. He has been dubbed "Outlaw Artist" by renowned poet and friend walt Christopher stickney. Along with his partner, Liz Nicklus, he creates and installs public architectural mosaic murals.
His current book, Bar Exam, began as a series of articles first published in Inferno, no boundaries, an underground arts newspaper that he published. Bar exam is a compilation of his bar series of paintings, and musings from thre bar stool.
Carl is a student of human nature, and his stories, whether fact or fiction, examine humanity as experienced through his jaundiced eyes.
