Poem / Poetry
Hey, I'm Mary. I'm a freshman who has a passion for
writing. I've written stories longer than I've been writing
poetry. But lately for some reason, I seem to have lost interest
in writing stories and so now, all I write is poetry.
It's been a year now since I've started writing poetry. Mostly all my poems are filled with rhymes, but now I'm going to try and write free-verse poems. It seems easier to write than the poems that constantly need to have rhymes at the end of each line. Which, I have nothing against. It just seems like it's holding me back from what I really want to write and explain through poetry.
I'm hoping and wishing to become a poet or writer someday in the future. If not, then there's always my back-up option. I write poems for multiple reasons. I write them because I want people to know that they're not alone. I write them because they help keep me sane. I write them because I hope that someday somehow it will help save a life or make someone finally open their eyes to the real world.
Uhh, I don't really know what else to say, so I'll just list a few random things about myself since it seems to be popular on other people's profiles on here.
1.) My family, friends, and music are the 3 things that I love deeply in life.
2.) I'm a tomboy with a little girly side, who is known for being perverted sometimes. Lol.
3.) Screamo and rock are my favorite genres to listen to.
4.) I’m philophobic.
5.) I’m shy when it comes to meeting new people.
6.) I'm starting to take an interest in photography. My phone sucks at taking them though. The quality is kind of bad.
7.) I love to do graffiti. On paper though. Never on the wall.
8.) Science is my weakest and most hated subject.
9.) I sometimes make my own quotes.
10.) I want to travel around the world someday.
11.) I’m a sucker for hugs.
12.) I’m a text-a-holic.
13.) I'm an agnostic.
And I guess that’s it. Send me a message and let’s talk. Hope we can be friends. :)
P.S I apologize if I don't get to read your poem/story that you requested, but I will try to get to it as soon as I can.
