Profile Information

I've lived in northeast Missouri my entire life and I love it here. The people, the scenery, events that take place; all contribute to my love for writing. I've been writing poetry and short stories, well trying to anyway, since I can remember. I find that poems are a way to open up to the world, and get a message across, and that's what I love and try to do with my writings.

I'm open to inspiration when it comes to writing. Give me a topic, a laptop, and a little time and I can usually surprise the people around me and sometimes even myself. But, usually, my inspiration for my poetry is either found in flying, or problems that I have with the world, and what goes on around me.

About my flying: I started taking flying lessons at my local airport when I was only 14 years old. I can't tell you what got me interested in flying but I believe that it is what I was put on this earth to do. It's one thing that I've found that living can't destroy. It's my comfort and my inspiration. I am now a licensed pilot and enjoy flying whenever I get the chance, right there out of the same little airport.

I'm also a student. I am studying anatomy and science and hope to attend medical school and become a anatomic pathologist. That's the dream. I do want to keep writing a part of my life, however. This is the first time that I've ever posted any of my poetry so I'm hoping for some positive feedback, but I'm no partial to criticism.

I appreciate you reading to learn a little bit about me and the life I lead. Thank you.
