Hiya! My name is Laura, I'm nineteen years old and I live in the UK. Ever since I was eight years old my ambition has been to become an author, and I would love it if you could check out one of novels.
Okay, so I have just started my second year at University, and I have been given so much work to do. I literally feel like I don't even have time to breathe right now! I'm putting this info in my profile so that if I'm a little late with updates, you know why! I have finished writing My Girl and I am putting it up on Booksie as I go through and edit it, but right now I'm having trouble finding time to do that. I will post a new chapter as often as I can, but if there is a long time in between, please forgive me! That also means that if you leave me a reading request, I may not get to it straight away, but as soon as I have time I will have a read of your work! I also just want to say thanks to everyone that's reading My Girl, because it has the most reads out of all my novels! I'm so glad you guys like it!
Some of my favourite books: Harry Potter, Skulduggery Pleasant, Beautiful Creatures, Fallen, Unearthly trilogy, Hereafter triology, Starcrossed trilogy(it has been pointed out many times that I have a habit of reading trilogies), The Selection series, the hush hush sequence, the House of Night series and soooo many more!
The Lost Princess of Algar (completed):
The people of Algar have long suffered at the hands of their
evil usperper King, Hugh. Their only hope is that somewhere
the Princess Alexa, rightful heir to the throne, is still alive
and waiting to reclaim her Kingdom.
Kitty Preacher had always been enchanted by the mystery of the lost Princess, until on her eighteenth birthday a stranger turns up at the cottage she lives in with her Aunt Melrose. The news he brings changes her life forever: she is the lost Princess. Kitty is told that she must raise an army to over-throw the King and reclaim her Kingdom, but in doing so she must give up the life she adores with her Aunt Melrose, and the boy she has loved for four years.
Daddy's Secret (completed):
For Ruby Miller everything is going great. She's a twenty-six year old detective living with her gorgeous boyfriend of nine years. That is until her old school crush Alec Thornwood turns out to be her new partner. When Alec returns to Ruby's life, all the old thoughts and feelings she had about him suddenly begin to resurface. Whilst desperately trying put all that aside, Ruby and Alec start to work on a case that may turn out to be a little too personal for Ruby.
Mum's The Word (completed):
It's fair to say that Ruby Miller has been through a lot these past couple of months. But she's had to move on from her Father's death quickly, now that she has two people to worry about. Back at work and battling her ever growing feelings for old school crush Alec Thornwood, Ruby throws herself into a case which seems like a simple robbery. But little does she know that a face from her past is connected to the case, and it's a face she wasn't expecting to see ever again.
My Girl (ongoing):
On paper it shouldn't work. The youngest of three children, Autumn Mulligan is 17, shy, intelligent and kind hearted. She concentrates on her studies and works hard, desperate to please her controlling, overbearing Mother. 19-year-old Aiden Hawkins is the complete opposite. An outpsoken and confident bad-boy, Aiden left school at 16 to pursue a career in music, but instead earned himself a reputation as a player, with only his best friend Gary to keep him in check.
But when Aiden meets Autumn, something changes. Autumn's innocence pulls him in and he can't get her out of his head. He'll do anything to win her over. But Autumn's never had attention from a boy before. Will she trust a bad-boy with her heart?
