Millie Chalk has been a professional horse trainer and a riding instructor for almost thirty years. She found her voice a few years ago when she discovered she was part Cherokee. With that came knowledge of the secrets of this nation's history, and a determination to educate, prompting her to begin writing for a Native American online magazine and non-profit to empower Native Americans; http://www.whispernthunder.org/ Since then she has published dozens of articles along with a self published book on horse care and theory titled; HORSE CENTS, The Practical Guide for the Equestrian Enthusiast! She is currently working on three novels, another book on the emotional side of horse ownership and a Native American influenced children's book on horses while she continues to write for Whisper-n-Thunder and serves on their Board of Directors.
