Profile Information

I have an obsession with the written word in that I cannot sit idly by while words are either mis-spelled or used inappropriately. For those who cannot tell the difference between such words as "there/their/they're" or "your/you're/yore" or even "cavalry/calvary" and misuse "accept/except" and use commas, where, they do not, belong... you are driving me bonkers!      alt

Starting in 1989, I found an ever-increasing need to let out my fears, hopes, and depressed thoughts through the written word. My poetry is my form of a Journal. It is my diary in which I keep many hidden gems of personality and disorder... not necessarily in that sequence... At least a third of the poems are very dark in mood and tragic to read. However, I hope that by revealing these thoughts and emotions and desires and frustrations and opinions – and even parts of my life story – I may help those who are in similar circumstances and emotional traps. Living in the cage of fear and depression is an all-too common state of being in the world. The fact that I survived so many doubts and near-suicidal thoughts to become a whole and confident individual should be proof that – despite how objectionable, offensive, or outright terrifying my poems may be – those individuals who fear to open up can do so with written words.

In 1990, I began reading Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman's Dragonlance novels. Upon completion of Richard A. Knaak's Legend of Huma in the Dragonlance series, I found myself even more inspired and chose to begin writing what at first was mere fan fiction, but evolved into an unfinished independent fantasy novel... That novel has gotten to a rough version of the first five or six chapters, but no further as yet.

I have thrown together various short stories and written many research documents over the years which may or may not appear here. The majority of my work posted here will be my poetry.
